Over a fortnight subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community persist in remembering the duo.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt able to share openly about his deep grief.

"Sufficient time has passed that I can now put my grief into words," posted Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the production, commenting that he doesn't recollect "any day without joy".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Values that Rob held dear. This is one of the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes wrote.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, stating: "To say that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a different essay, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles judge agreed to block the release of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, following a petition from the LAPD.

A legal directive placed a restriction on the files to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" connected to the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of foul play, with a record citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

After the deaths, public personalities shared different comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing controversial statements that were widely condemned by several commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the those speaking out last week. Speaking on his program, Rogan described the remarks as "disappointing" and remarked they demonstrated a worrisome deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan finished by proposing that an associate should have stepped in when the choice to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
