It's tough for Australia to break new ground.

The highest peaks have already been conquered.

We're talking about the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, those for the peak baggers, are all that remain for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

That it took as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the biggest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, frankly, a testament to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It's difficult for their hitters to maintain a record if not afforded the possibility.

Finally, the result of Australia allowing 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy receiving an opportunity to create her most recent brilliance.

Initially recognized as the young family member of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after her country failed to win either of the T20 or ODI World Cups held the previous year and has seen it all through 15 trophy-laden years since.

Many contend the argument supporting final game tension. Others can counter with the challenge that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What's definite is this century was far harder to see coming.

One run resulted off the opening delivery and from there the right-hander was on her way.

"The possibility to play and engage in competition with her and simply enjoy myself in that aspect, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 pitches - her fastest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 balls as she attacked short-pitched balls, scoring 21 fours and three big hits.

When she was out Australia needed 66 additional runs at run per delivery - a manageable total now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Pursuing 330 is new territory so I'm happy we have the belief to accomplish that now," continued Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to repeat it but, if we do, we believe we can achieve it."

That comment will be the last competing nations at this championship want to hear.

In recent days a feeling they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this victory succeeding win against Pakistan by 107-run victory despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a match against longtime competitors England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.
